Rico Henry withdrawn from England U20s with injury

Fullback pulls out of summer tournament with Three Lions in South Korea

19 May 2017

Rico Henry has been withdrawn from the England Under-20 World Cup squad due to injury.

The 19-year-old left-back had travelled to South Korea for the tournament, where the Young Lions begin their campaign against Argentina in Jeonju tomorrow (Saturday).

England have promoted Charlton Athletic defender Ezri Konsa from the Toulon Tournament squad as Henry's replacement.

Brentford B goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe will therefore see two changes to the squad he joins in the South of France at the end of May; Joe Worrall (Nottingham Forest) and Josh Grant (Chelsea) the new faces. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Manchester United) has also been withdrawn.
