B Team midfield player joins Sky Bet League Two side
Brentford B midfield player James Ferry has left the Club and will join Stevenage when the Transfer Window opens this summer. The 20-year-old has been on an extended trial with the Sky Bet League Two club and agreed to make a permanent switch, signing a contract that will come in to force on July 1. The two clubs have reached an undisclosed agreement for James to join the Hertfordshire side and the central midfield player will be a part of the Stevenage squad next season.
James has been with Brentford for more than five years, turning professional in 2015 after completing his scholarship. He was part of the first Brentford B group at the start of this season having signed a new 18-month contract in late 2015. James earned a place on the substitute’s bench for the Sky Bet Championship game away at Ipswich Town last season and had loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Welling United.
In his second year as a professional he played 26 games for Brentford B, 23 of them from the start. He scored one goal from his central midfield role. James played seven games in the National League for Welling last term and will now be hoping to make his EFL debut. All at Brentford would like to wish James all the best for the future.
