23 May 2017

Lasse Vibe, Andreas Bjelland and Henrik Dalsgaard have been called up to Denmark's international squad for their upcoming matches with Germany and Kazakhstan.

Åge Hareide named his final squad this morning, confirming the squad for their matches on 6 and 10 June. First, the Danes play Germany in a friendly at Brondby Stadion on home turf before facing Kazakhstan in a 2018 World Cup Qualifier at Central Stadium, Almaty.

With five games gone, Denmark are third in Group E of the European qualification stage. Poland sit top of the table, having taken 13 points so far, then come Montenegro on seven. Denmark have an equal tally to the team above them, while Romania and Armenia sit just below them on six points. Kazakhstan are bottom with only two points.

The top team from each of the nine European groups gain an automatic place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Eight of the runners-up will get the chance to enter a two-legged play-off for the remaining four places in the summer tournament.
