Five goals and two assists see winger make February shortlist
Jota has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for February. The winger was in superb form last month, contributing at least a goal or an assist in all five of The Bees games. The 25-year-old started off the month scoring in the 3-3 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion before setting up Tom Field for the opening goal at Preston North End a week later. He was on target again in the defeat to Reading and then teed up Harlee Dean for the second goal in the 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday. Jota finished off February in style with a hat-trick, including two in injury-time, in the 4-2 victory over Rotherham United at Griffin Park. In total, February saw Jota contribute five goals and two assists from five games.

Izzy Brown (Huddersfield Town) – striker
The 20-year-old was involved in all three goals against promotion rivals Brighton and Hove Albion and scored against Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers.
Jota (Brentford) - winger
Jota’s haul of five goals and two assists in February included his first Brentford hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Rotherham United.
Aiden McGeady (Preston North End) - midfielder
McGeady scored three fine individual goals, two against The Bees, and contributed four assists as well.
Kenneth Zohore (Cardiff City) – striker
The Dane scored five goals in as many games as The Bluebirds lost just once in February.
