Brentford will be playing a friendly in the Geneva area on Saturday July 15 at the end of a Training Camp in France. The Bees will be heading across the Channel on Saturday 8 July after they have kicked-off their pre-season campaign with a match against Aldershot Town the night before. The First Team coaching staff and players will spend a week training before a match against FC Lausanne-Sport. That match will be played at a venue to be confirmed on the afternoon of 15 July and kick-off will be around 4pm local time. Precise details will be revealed in due course.
Match organisers are currently working to secure a venue that will enable fans to attend the match and Brentford FC has indicated its desire that the game is open to supporters. A proposed venue for the match, in France, is not now available and the Club is keen to find a location so as many Bees fans as want to make the trip can see the match. Confirmation as to whether the match will be open to fans or not will be communicated as soon as possible.
The game is one of six now confirmed for The Bees in pre-season. Premier League Southampton will come to Griffin Park on Saturday 22 July while there are also three away games in the schedule. As well as the game at Aldershot, Brentford will travel to Oxford United on Wednesday 19 July and Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday 25 July. The pre-season programme will end with a match against Europa League Semi-Finalists Celta Vigo at Griffin Park on Saturday 29 July.
