Jeff Stelling is in to the second half of his marathon walking challenge.
The Sky Sports presenter is walking 15 marathons in 15 days visiting over 40 football clubs. He started at St James Park, Exeter City, last Friday, 2 June. By the time he reaches St James’ Park, Newcastle United, next Friday, 16 June, he will have walked almost 400 miles and all raising money to support Prostate Cancer UK, the Official Charity Partner of the EFL.
This is Jeff's second walking challenge. In March 2016, he marched his beloved Hartlepool United to Wembley Stadium, walking ten marathons in ten days. Jeff and Hartlepool CEO Russ Green visited 32 football clubs clocking up 262 miles on the walk and were joined by many supporters including Brentford Head Coach Dean Smith.
So far Jeff has visited clubs including Bristol City, Swindon Town, Stoke City, Liverpool and Manchester United on his way to Greater Manchester. The second half of the walk will include trips to Blackpool, Morecambe, Huddersfield Town and Hartlepool before the finish in Newcastle.
Jeff, Russ and more 400 marchers raised £420,000 in 2016, and helped raise the problem of prostate cancer to millions of people across the UK. More than £200,000 has been raised so far and the target is £500,000. For more information and to donate click here.
