Theo Archibald had a spring in his step after coming off the pitch on Friday afternoon, his team having just secured a 2-1 win over MSK Zilina in Hungary.

The Scottish winger was on the scoresheet as Brentford B came from behind to win their second match of pre-season. Fellow Scotsman Ali Coote netted the other. After the final whistle, we caught up with Theo to discuss the week and what he felt about the game.

"I thought the boys played well," said Theo. "It was a good run-out for us today. It's good to get two wins under our belt, get the confidence going into the season.

"We've got a busy couple of weeks ahead, playing against good opposition. We go to Portugal on Tuesday. To win these kind of games against good opposition like that is important for us to build momentum and kick on from there."

Theo scored the equalising goal after 38 minutes, latching on to Bradley Clayton's cross from the right at the far post. He was clearly pleased to have tucked it away.

"I'm happy to get my first Brentford goal actually," said Theo. "I just saw the ball get hung up and I thought I've got to try and go for it and finished it in the corner. I'm delighted for the win as well."

Theo also reflected on his first major trip away with his new teammates at Brentford,  a week-long training camp in Telki, Hungary.

"I think it's been a really good camp. I think doing things, even like the quiz [on Wednesday night], it's all team bonding. There's a few boys who are new into the group, including myself, and I think we've all settled in well with the help of some of the lads who have been here a while.

"I think the team are gelling well together and I think we've got a promising season ahead."
