Today sees both Brentford teams embark on their pre-season Training Camps ahead of the new campaign.
Dean Smith, the coaching staff, and the first-team players will shortly begin their journey to the spa town of Divonne-Les-Bains on the Swiss/French border where they will spend a week building up to the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign. The camp culminates with a friendly against Swiss top flight side Lausanne Sport on Saturday 15 July, kick-off 4pm local time, at the Stade de Marcy in St-Prex, which is open to supporters.
Meanwhile the B Team, under Kevin O’Connor, were at Heathrow in the early hours this morning to begin the journey to their pre-season camp in Budapest, Hungary. The seven-day camp, which concludes on Friday, includes games against local sides ETO Gyor and MSK Zilna on 11 and 14 July respectively.
The Brentford website and social media channels will be the only place to come for full coverage of both team’s camps. We will have daily interviews from players and staff as well as training footage, photo galleries, the very best behind the scenes action, and, not forgetting, Peter Gilham’s legendary tour blog, to make sure you get as close to the action as possible.
