Loan Round-Up

Kerschbaumer scores as Arminia win friendly clash

21 July 2017

Konstantin Kerschbaumer got the only goal as DSC Arminia Bielefeld continued their preparations for their upcoming season. The midfield man is on loan with the German second tier side for the season and played the second half of a pre-season friendly against Wuppertaler SV on Tuesday. Arminia won the game 1-0 with Konstantin grabbing the only goal in the second half.

Arminia are just a week away from the start of their season. The 2. Bundesliga kicks off next Friday while Arminia begin their campaign with a home game against SSV Jahn Regensburg next Saturday. Arminia have one more pre-season game, they face Norwich City this evening, Friday 21 July.

Konstantin is one of two Brentford players that have agreed loan moves ahead of the 2017/18 season. Jack Bonham goalkeeper is with Sky Bet League Two Carlisle United for the first half of the campaign. Carlisle did not have a friendly match this week and Jack did not play in their last outing – a 3-0 win over Blythe Spartans last Saturday.

Jack – who has been given the number one shirt for the season – has played two games so far, playing 45 minutes against Workington and Carlisle City and keeping clean sheets in both matches. Carlisle have two more friendlies to come – against FC Halifax Town tomorrow and Blackburn Rovers next week. They begin their season at home to Swindon Town.
