Ten facts you might not know about our new man
- Florian was born in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, French Guiana on 9 February 1991.
- He has six brothers and two sisters, two of his younger brothers are also on the books of professional clubs in Holland.
- He moved to Holland from French Guiana when he was two and joined the Academy at Ajax aged 14, spending six years with de Godenzonen.
- His Dutch Under-19 debut came in a 1-1 draw against Italy in October 2009, the first of five Under-19 caps. He also played five times for the Holland Under-21s and featured in the 2013 European Under-21 Championships.
- He marked his professional debut for Ajax against MW Maastricht with a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win.
- After leaving Ajax in 2012, he enjoyed a successful season with RKC Waalwijk, scoring seven goals, before joining PSV the following summer.
- In his debut season for PSV, Florian played in the League, Cup, Champions League, and Europa League, making 25 appearances in total, scoring four goals.
- His most memorable goal for PSV came as he wrapped up a 3-1 win away at Ajax in August 2014, PSV would go on to win their first league title in seven years the following April.
- In his time with PSV, Florian made a total of 64 appearances, winning two Dutch titles and a Dutch Super Cup, to add his Dutch title from his time with Ajax.
- Florian will wear the number 7 shirt at Griffin Park.
