Midfielder reflects on Villa victory and looks forward to Seagulls match
Josh McEachran is confident heading into Sunday's game with Bighton and Hove Albion at Griffin Park. The 23-year-old spoke to Bees Player earlier today about Tuesday's resounding victory, fitness and doing the double over The Seagulls.
"It was good," said Josh. "I think it was the best performance of the season to be honest. Playing against Villa, who are a top club and have spent all that money. We changed formation and I thought it worked really well on the day, we had more width and more pace on the wings so it was good."
After a spell out on the sidelines, Josh has made a full recovery and has started the last few games in red and white stripes. This is something he wants to push on with.
"I want to play every week now," said Josh. "That's why I moved to Brentford in the first place. Hopefully I can keep my place, keep playing well and the team keeps winning.
"I feel as fit as I've ever felt. I just need to keep going now, keep working with Chris Haslam doing extras and keep on top of my fitness."
Huddersfield Town emerged as 3-1 winners in their match with Brighton on Thursday night, Josh knows that the gap between fixtures could have an effect on Sunday's match.
"They are going to have to rotate their squad a little bit because they have got a few injuries now and a suspension. It should be a good game.
"We played really well against them away, won 2-0, and there's no reason we can't do that at home so hopefully we do."
