Jenn Amols Brett secures point for Ryan Peters's side on Sunday

Jenn Amols Brett’s unstoppable free-kick secured a point for Brentford Women’s FC as they drew 1-1 with Bromley LFC at Lampton School on Sunday. Ryan Peters’ side dominated the first-half and had a number of chances to go into the break with at least a one-goal advantage but couldn't make their pressure count.

As it was The Bees lack of a clinical edge came back to bite them early on in the second-half. A long ball over the top released Kayleigh Lecomber in behind and she rounded Roxy Clark to slot home. The visitors’ advantage didn’t last long however as Amols Brett added to her impressive catalogue of free-kicks this season with a 35-yard effort that flew into the top corner to level things up.

The Bees couldn’t find a winner as they remain in fourth place in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One with Luton Town Development up next in a fortnight’s time.

It was another tough afternoon for the Development Team in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division Three South as they suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of high-flying South London Women. Teliscia Linton scored The Bees consolation at Edward Alleyn’s school but it is now three without a win for The Bees. Next Sunday, London Academicals are the visitors to Lampton School for the penultimate league match of the season.
