Florian Jozefzoon was pleased to get himself on the scoresheet against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon. After the game, he spoke to iFollow about winning runs, scoring goals and the current atmosphere at Griffin Park.
"That's three wins in a row," said Florian. "We played fairly well, only at the beginning we looked a little sloppy where we lost a lot of the ball. We picked it up, kept possession and created chances. I think we should have scored more but still we got the 'W' and that's important.
"We were always confident but we didn't always pick up the win. Now the 'W's are falling our way and everybody feels more confident of course. We just want to keep it going as long as possible."
The 26-year-old put himself on the scoresheet in the 83rd minute with a neat finish over Wednesday keeper Joe Wildsmith. Florian was happy to contribute but admitted he could have had more.
"For sure [I'm happy], I should have scored earlier. It was nice to score. Like I said, if we play like that more often then we will score more goals. The most important thing is the win."
Asked about the noise inside Griffin Park, Florian said: "Every fans smells that we can create something this year. You feel like everyone is thinking the same way and that's why I think it is possible this year.
"The fans are so loud and it's nice to play at home and see how much they believe in us. We believe in each other so together we can make something great."
The Dutchman also commented on how important it is for Chris Mepham and Nico Yennaris to come in and perform well to help the attackers at the other end.
"If you keep the score zero, then you know we will create chances," said Florian. "If you look at our attacking line and the midfield, we are going to create chances. Even from midfield, you look at how many options we've got there.
"Everyone who comes on as well, Kamo [Mokotjo] came on and did just as good. The coaches have some hard choices to make but we work with everybody not just the starting 11 and that's important. As a team, everybody needs to believe that they have a chance so that when they come in they are ready to play."
The first game of 2018 sees The Bees come up against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Florian spoke about the game to come confidently.
"Like every game. We will go in like every game against any opponent. We look at ourselves first, make a plan and just go into the game to do our best. It's not about where they are in the table, it's just another opponent and we work hard for it."
