Brentford B will be looking to end 2017 on a high as they play their final two games of the year in the next eight days. Kevin O’Connor’s side bounced back to winning ways with a 3-2 win over a side from Barnet last Tuesday. That came after three defeats in a week as they were beaten by Premier League sides Swansea City, Huddersfield Town and AFC Bournemouth. With games coming up against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City, Brentford B will seek to finish the year in fine fashion.
The first of those games is against Wolves on Thursday, 14 December, before Manchester City come to West London next Tuesday, 19 December. More details on those back-to-back home games will follow in due course. Both will be played at Brentford’s Jersey Road Training Ground in Osterley and are expected to be open to fans.
Those games will give Brentford B a chance to extend their fine run of form this season. Kevin O’Connor’s men have won 15 of 23 games this term and have lost only six. The Bees have picked up mainly positive results against teams from the UK and abroad and have beaten sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan.
The defeats last month were the first since the start of October. That included two wins over the Milan clubs as part of a trip to Italy that also saw Brentford B draw with Atalanta Bergamasco Calcio. It also came after a 5-2 win over a Manchester City side.
