Rico Henry is looking forward to starting the new season with an away win. The 20-year-old spoke to iFollow during the Club's Family Day last week.
Asked about whether he was looking forward to the opening day he said: "Defintely, we had a good end to the season last season and we've had a good pre-season. Hopefully we can take the confidence going around the team into this season."
Rico was slated to be part of England's Under-20 squad over the summer but missed out due to injury. He feels like he is back to his best ahead of 2017/18.
"We've added players and it'll be a good battle," said Rico. "We've got a strong team that could get promoted if we do well.
"I feel good, I feel sharp, I feel like the injury took time when I was getting back and it was tough. Now I feel good and hopefully we have a good season."
Rico also touched on the team's last friendly at Griffin Park.
"It was a good test because Celta Vigo are a good team," said Rico, "but we overcame it and we beat them. Hopefully we can beat Sheffield on Saturday.
"I've gained confidence this year, the lads have made me feel welcome and it's been really good."
