Buzz and Buzzette lining up in Sunday's London Mascot Derby

Buzz and Buzzette will be going for glory at the Kia Ova

The Bees duo will be taking to the famous cricket field after the Natwest T20 Blast match between Surrey and Sussex and ahead of the start of the exciting Kia Super League season.

The race will pit Buzz and Buzzette against the likes of Surrey’s Caesar the Lion, Arsenal’s Gunnersaurus, West Ham’s Hammerhead and Bubbles, QPR’s Spark the Tiger and Jude the Cat and Harlequins’ Harley and Charley the Bear as well as several others.

With the race returning after a year’s absence in 2016, expect passions to be running high when the most athletic of London’s Mascot community come together on the famous Kia Oval outfield.

Aside from the Mascot Derby, the game will be a great spectacle with cricket stars including Aaron Finch and Jason Roy lining up for Surrey against their local rivals Sussex, who have New Zealander Ross Taylor in their ranks.

Surrey Stars, including four of the Women’s World Cup winning England side, will then start their Kia Super League campaign against Yorkshire Diamonds.

The first match starts at 2.30pm, with the mighty mascots set to take the field at around 5.30pm!
