Greek fullback Ilias Chatzitheodoridis spoke to iFollow earlier today to talk about his First Team debut, progress with the B Team and his future plans.
"It was a great feeling," said Ilias. "It was a very good experience, and to be in the starting 11 was very good.
"Of course, I see the difference very clearly now between the B Team and the First Team. For my first game with the First Team to be 90 minutes was very pleasing."
He lined up alongside Yoann Barbet and behind Ollie Watkins on the left wing, an experience he clearly enjoyed. Ilias also explained how much advice they gave him before the match.
"They made me feel comfortable, they gave me advice before the game as well to not have any stress, just be comfortable in the game. They told me to just treat it like I was playing with them at the training ground.
"It's very good for me because hopefully I will get a chance in the next game, I'm very happy about it and it was a very good result."
Looking back on his progress with the B Team this season, Ilias acknowledged the changes that have been made in Kevin O'Connor's side over the summer.
"Pre-season was very good, we went to Budapest and played two games there. The new boys came in and look very good, the level of the B Team is higher now. We can all see that.
"We are unbeaten in all of our games up to now, so the level is clearly high and for us that can only be good."
Speaking to him at the start of the year, Ilias wanted to make his debut. Now he has acheived that goal, he has to set a new target for the 2017/18 campaign.
"My goal now is now to be more with the First Team. I think now I will get more opportunities to train with them and maybe get a few games like the one in the cup.
"It's a very good challenge for me now. Tom Field is on loan so it's me and Rico. It's up to me to show the boys they can trust me and give me the chance to play more games with them in the First Team."
