Supporters heading to Griffin Park tonight for our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Bristol City by train are advised that no South West Trains services will be operating on the Waterloo loop line, which serves Brentford.
Due to a derailment at Waterloo early this morning, and an unrelated points failure, South West Trains are urging passengers not to use any of their services today due to severe overcrowding on the service caused by a very high number of cancellations and delays. Any supporters wishing to use Rail services to get to tonight’s game are advised to leave extra time and check before they travel.
Supporters heading to tonight’s game from central London are advised to use the Piccadilly Line to get to South Ealing and then take the 65 bus in the direction of Richmond/Kingston to Griffin Park or walk. Alternatively, fans can use the Overground or District Line to either Gunnersbury, and take the 237 or 267, or Richmond and take the 65 in the direction of Ealing Broadway.
From the West and South West, supporters are advised to take GWR services to Ealing Broadway, and then take the 65 bus.
Supporters may use the following ticket acceptance to complete a journey:
Cross Country services between Bournemouth and Reading.
Great Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids, Bristol, Reading, Windsor & Eton Central and London Paddington.
Southern services between Southampton, Portsmouth and London Victoria via any reasonable route.
Thameslink services between Wimbledon and London Blackfriars via any reasonable route.
London Bus services via any reasonable route across the South West Trains network.
London Underground services via any reasonable route across the South West Trains network.
Supporters are also advised that Controlled Parking Zones are in effect around Griffin Park and that street parking in the local area is severely limited on matchdays. Information about CPZ’s in the Brentford area can be found here.
