The game at Griffin Park between Brentford B and Chelsea scheduled for next week has been called off. The Bees were due to entertain an XI from their West London neighbours next Tuesday, 29 August, but this game will now not take place. Instead, Kevin O'Connor's side will now host Queens Park Rangers at Griffin Park on Tuesday 5 September, kick-off 7.45pm.
The Chelsea game has been called off due to the number of international call-ups from the Brentford B squad. Theo Archibald, Marcus Forss, Mads Bech Sørensen and Lukas Talbro have been called up to their international squads for matches in late August and early September. And the Club has been informed to expect more members of the group to be called up for youth internationals in the coming days.
Many of the remaining B Team members are likely to be involved in First Team training next week. With John Egan, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Henrik Dalsgaard, and Andreas Bjelland already called-up for international duty the B Team players will be needed for a behind closed doors match scheduled for next week.
