Dean Smith looks ahead to tomorrow’s match against Leeds United

Brentford Head Coach Dean Smith hasn’t ruled out making changes to a winning side as Brentford prepare for tomorrow’s Sky Bet Championship match at home to Leeds United. Goals from Sergi Canos and Lasse Vibe made it back to back league wins after a 2-0 victory over Bristol City on Saturday. With a number of players cramping up late on, Dean said he will look to see where he might be able to freshen up his line-up.

Speaking to Bees Player after Saturday’s match, Dean said: “We will have to make sure that players recover and look at the squad to see if we can get some fresh legs out there on Tuesday against Leeds United. The lads will have to make sure that they recover properly. It is another big game as we want to do well at home. Leeds will sell all their tickets as they always do. Leeds are a big club who are going really well and we are looking forward to it.”

After their defeat to Reading on Saturday evening, Leeds head to Griffin Park in fifth place, 11 points off the top two but six points clear of seventh placed Sheffield Wednesday. Dean admitted that it will be another tough match against a promotion chaser but added that it is one he and the squad are looking forward to.

“They are right up there,” said Dean. “Garry Monk has done a fantastic job. He is a former teammate of mine from when we both played at Sheffield Wednesday. He did well at Swansea City and he is doing very well now at Leeds. We know that it is going to be a tough game but it is one that we are relishing to be honest.”
