Brentford to head to MK Dons for pre-season friendly

28 April 2017

Robbie Neilson's side confirmed as opposition on Tuesday 25 July

Brentford will travel to Stadium:MK to take on Sky Bet League One side MK Dons as part of their preparations for the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season. The match will be played on Tuesday 25 July, kick-off 7.45pm. The announcement follows the confirmation earlier today that Dean Smith’s side will begin their pre-season campaign with a trip to Aldershot Town on Friday 7 July.

Following last season’s relegation from the second tier The Dons have spent most of this season in the bottom-half of League One. Long-standing manager Karl Robinson departed in November, with former Brentford defender Robbie Neilson replacing him and guiding the team to mid-table security after a difficult start to the season. The Bees have enjoyed their trips to Stadium:MK, losing just once in eight visits. Sergi Canos, Lasse Vibe, Ryan Woods, and Jake Bidwell were all on target in a 4-1 victory 12 months ago.

Further match and ticketing information will be announced nearer to the fixture.
