Striker's double against Brighton and Hove Albion sees him included in EFL selection
Scott Hogan clinical performance on Saturday against Brighton and Hove Albion has seen the striker named in the EFL Team of the Weekend selection.
The striker netted both goals as The Bees became the first side to beat Brighton at The AMEX since January after Saturday's 2-0 win. Scott's first came on the half hour as he latched onto Lewis Macleod's pass, burst into the box and finished neatly past David Stockdale in the home goal. His second wrapped up the points late on in the second-half as he lashed home from close range after good work down the right from Harlee Dean and Andreas Bjelland.
Scott's brace saw him selected in the EFL Team of the Week. The team, published on the EFL website, is drawn from the performances over the previous weekend's action in all Sky Bet Football League divisions. John Egan is the other Brentford player to have been named in the team of the week this season after his double in the win over Ipswich Town.
