All four loan players involved with their clubs this weekend
Herson Alves watched from the bench as Sutton United caused one of the upsets of the Emirates FA Cup Second Round after a 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town on Saturday. The National League side fell behind in the first-half to a Danny Wright strike ten minutes before the break. However, Matt Tubbs levelled a minute into the second-half and then, with a replay looking almost certain, Roarie Deacon fired home in the sixth minute of added time to book Sutton's place in the third round draw.
It was a losing debut for Nathan Fox on Saturday as Margate were beaten 2-0 away at National League South leaders Maidenhead United. Nathan joined the Kent club on Friday and went straight into the starting XI for the visit to York Road. Sean Marks and Dave Tarpey were on target in the first-half to consign Margate to a sixth league game without a win which leaves them just a point above the relegation zone.
Jota was a late substitute on Sunday as SD Eibar suffered a 3-1 defeat away at Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. The home side took the lead just before the break at San Mames through Benat and added a second when Iñaki Williams found the bottom corner ten minutes into the second-half. Sergi Enrich halved the arrears with 15 minutes to play, with Jota then introduced for the final five minutes. The attacker couldn't help his side find a leveller and Muniain added a third in injury-time to wrap up the win which sees Bilbao leapfrog Eibar into seventh place.
Andy Gogia and Dynamo Dresden suffered their first defeat since September as they were beaten 1-0 at the Allianz Arena by 1860 Munich on Saturday. Dresden had picked up 14 points from their last six matches to close in on the promotion places but it was struggling 1860 who snatched the points thanks to an 89th minute Levent Aycicek strike.
