Fans asked to comment on new sound system at Griffin Park.
Our new sound system at Griffin Park was installed and made its debut in the Reading home match last month. To ensure the best quality sound is produced in all parts of the stadium, we are asking for fans feedback on the quality of audio they hear on matchdays.
With growing numbers attending Griffin Park, the new sound system needed to be more powerful and robust for safety needs and take a more prominent role in safety management. This higher powered and more capable system is perfectly suited to entertainment.
Sound technicians were present throughout the Reading match and based on what they learnt and your comments, they are refining the entertainment sound. This is an evolving process which will take place across the next few home games.
Kurt Pittman, Head of Marketing, said: “There’s still a bit of work to be done in fine tuning the system, mainly adjustments that relate to the impact of having people in the ground.
We’d like fans to get in touch to give us their comments on the new system after the Preston North End match.As we want the matchday experience to be an enjoyable one for all supporters that attend Griffin Park, it’s important that we look into any areas within the ground that need fine tuning but the team can only do that if they know where to look.”
Since the Reading match we’ve had some great feedback coming in, some really positive responses but also comments that have helped us identify locations where the clarity wasn’t great which the team are looking into tomorrow.
