International round-up: Vibe, Judge and O'Shaughnessy in action

Three defeats for Brentford players on international duty.

Brentford forward Lasse Vibe was an unused substitute on Sunday as Denmark lost 2-1 at home to France in a friendly international played in Copenhagen. Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud scored twice for the visitors in the first six minutes, with substitute Erik Sviatchenko scoring Denmark’s consolation goal in added-on time.

Alan Judge’s Republic of Ireland missed out on an opportunity to qualify automatically for Euro 2016 as they lost 2-1 to Poland in Warsaw on Sunday, and will now Play-Off for a chance to make the finals staged in France next year. Alan did not make the final line-up and still awaits his first international cap.

Brentford defender Daniel O'Shaughnessy will be adding to his collection of Finland Under-21 appearances tomorrow in in Baku, Azerbaijan, when his team play their latest UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying match - kick-off 7pm local time. This game is the second of two matches Finland will play in this international weekend. 

Finland came unstuck in their last match, a 4-0 defeat to Germany last Friday [9 October] in Essen, with Daniel playing 90 minutes. Finland are sat in third place in group seven with six points, three adrift of leaders Austria.
