Brentford duo up for London prizesBrentford Manager Mark Warburton has been nominated for a prize in the upcoming London Football Awards while on-loan midfield player Alex Pritchard is also on a short list.
The London Football Awards 2015 will be held next Thursday, March 5.
Prizes will be awarded for London’s Player of the Year, Manager of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Young Player of the Year.
Further awards include the London Women’s Player of the Year prize, Outstanding Contribution to a London Club, which has been won by Arsene Wenger, and London Community Project of the Year.
Mark has been nominated for the London Manager of the Year award while Alex is up for the Young Player of the Year prize, for players under the age of 23.
Mark is up against José Mourinho, Sam Allardyce, Martin Allen and Neal Ardley while Alex’s follow nominees are Harry Kane, Carl Jenkinson and Ryan Mason.
The winners of the remaining awards will be announced at the event, hosted by Soccer AM’s Max Rushden, and raising funds for national charity, Willow.
London Football Awards will raise funds for Willow – a national charity that provides unique and positive Special Days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds.
Willow was founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper and sports presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs and in memory of their daughter Anna, who died of cancer aged just 31.
