Arsenal midfielder on life at Griffin Park.
Jon Toral spoke to Bees Player after the victory at Elland Road that gave Brentford their third away league win in a row.
We’re delighted,” said Jon.
“Away from home and to get the three points was very important to stay up in the position that we are in the Play-Offs and fighting for promotion.
“It was a tough performance against a very good team, a big stadium and crowd.
“They pushed a lot, we came here for the three points and everyone’s happy for the trip home.”
The game was another learning curve in the midfielder’s footballing education, having now spent six months on loan from Arsenal.
“It’s another experience for me playing in a stadium as big as this,” said Jon.
“With the history that this club has got, to win in an atmosphere like this has been great.”
He described that the team wasn’t downhearted after the Middlesbrough game and were determined to bounce back.
“The game we played against Middlesbrough, our performance was very good,” said Jon.
“We knew that we would have to keep performing that way, with not too many changes, and we know the results will come.”
After recently celebrating his 20th birthday, the on loan midfielder described his time at Griffin Park so far.
“I’m enjoying it a lot,” said Jon.
“It’s a great place to be now, and I’m enjoying every minute of it – every game, every training session I’m learning.
“That’s why I came here, to learn, and I’m doing that and am very happy.”
