Brentford add midfield player Jermaine Udumaga to their Development Squad

Midfield player Jermaine Udumaga has signed a one-year contract to be part of the Development Squad at Brentford Football Club.

The teenager, who will turn 19 later this month, signed the new deal at Griffin Park earlier this week.

He was offered the contract after a successful trial.

Jermaine, who was a scholar at Oxford United, played four games for Brentford in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South in 2013/14.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “Jermaine impressed us while playing as a trialist last season.

“He fits the bill as a midfield player, he is a good passer of the ball and wants to play attacking football in the way we do.

“He has the potential to develop as a player, he is only 18, and we will help him do that.

“Jermaine had spells on trial at other clubs but he wanted to join us, which is a great sign for the Club.

“He will come here, work hard and try to push for a place in the First Team squad; I look forward to seeing how he improves over the next 12 months.”

Jermaine spoke to Bees Player after signing the contract – subscribers can see an interview with the midfield player soon.
