Defender speaks to Bees Player feeling fit again after injury disrupted last year’s promotion run-in.

Harlee Dean revealed he was fit and raring to go ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season at Griffin Park.
With the squad full of options for manager Mark Warburton, the only man that knows who will fill the centre back slots against Charlton Athletic on August 9.
“There’s competition all over the pitch,” said Harlee.
“I can only do what I can, and hopefully the manager can see it – if I feel 100 per cent, I feel I deserve to play [but] it’s the manager’s choice.
“I hadn’t felt fit since November last year.
“But I’m 100 per cent now, working hard in training – I haven’t missed a session and feel like I’m getting back to my normal self.”
Harlee spoke after the defeat to CA Osasuna, where the visitors scored four goals without reply in the second half.
“We did well until half-time,” said Harlee.
“You’ve got to remember they’re a good team and we were a makeshift one; a lot of people had not played with each other, subs made, and people put in positions that they weren’t used to.
“Obviously we’re disappointed with the goals -we’ll have a look at them - but overall it’s about getting the minutes in and getting your own work.”
“It’s been a long time for me – I felt good out there and am looking forward to Saturday.”
The match was littered with robust challenges from the Spanish side, but the defender, who has recently turned 23, was not fussed by their style or how they tackled.
“I didn’t really know what to expect to be honest,” said Harlee.
“I was concentrating on myself and making sure that I had a good game, making sure I got the miles in on the pitch; there were good tackles out there, the ref let it flow.
“Hard tackles, people getting up and getting on with the game – that’s how it should be.”
