Two Development Squad players go head-to-head as Wycombe Wanderers face Dagenham and Redbridge

Two of Brentford’s Development Squad players went head-to-head in a Sky Bet League Two match on Saturday.

Luke Norris is on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge while Aaron Pierre is with Wycombe Wanderers.

The two played against each other on Saturday – Luke playing his 14th game for The Daggers and Aaron his third for Wycombe.

Aaron came out on top as Wycombe won the game 2-0 on Saturday, April 5.

Dagenham and Redbridge had a man sent off in the first half and then conceded a penalty soon after the re-start.

That was converted and Wycombe made it two soon after to seal the win.

Wycombe are 22nd in League Two, outside the relegation zone by two points while Dagenham and Redbridge are tenth, six points outside the Play-Off places.

Brentford had three more players in action for loan clubs this weekend.

Farid El Alagui was a second half substitute for Dundee United against Celtic.

The striker made his 12th appearance for Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership clash.

Celtic scored two first half goals to take the win.

Development Squad midfield player Emmanuel Oyeleke played for Aldershot Town against Luton Town on Saturday.

Emmanuel, known as Manny, is in his second loan spell at Skrill Premier Aldershot this season.

He played his 35th game of the campaign for the Hampshire side against Skrill Premier leaders Luton Town.

Luton scored the only goal of the game in the final five minutes.

Manny played 90 minutes in the defeat, which leaves Aldershot 21st in the table – they are in the relegation zone but only a point behind Hereford United.

Youth Team goalkeeper Joe Taylor kept a clean sheet as Eastbourne Town won on Saturday.

The young stopper is with the Ryman League Division One South side on work experience.

He helped them beat Hythe Town 2-0 on Saturday in his second game for the south coast side.

Eastbourne are bottom of the table and 15 points from safety with seven games to play.

Brentford have four more players out on loan.

Youth Team players George Pilbeam and Lewis Lavender are at Calor League Premier Division Burnham on work experience but did not play as the Buckinghamshire side lost 2-1 to Arlesey Town on Saturday.

Injury prevented Development squad central defender Alfie Mawson playing for Welling United as they drew 2-2 with Alfreton Town in a Skrill Premier game on Saturday.

Shaleum Logan is also out on loan – at Scottish Premiership Aberdeen, who did not play this weekend.
