Brentford send Under-15 team from Academy to Italy and beat Inter Milan

A young Brentford team went to Italy earlier this week and beat one of the best known names in World football.
The Bees sent an Under-15 squad to northern Italy to face Internazionale – better known as Inter Milan – in a friendly match on Thursday, April 17.
They took on the Inter’s Under-15 side and beat them 2-1.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, who went on the trip, said: “The game was played at Inter’s Academy training venue in Milan.
“The pristine pitch surface really suited the slick possession based style of football we like to play and, after a slow start, we dominated possession.
“We went in to a 2- 0 lead with goals either side of half time and it was well-deserved.
“Inter did pull a goal back with 15 minutes to go, which made for a nervy finish, but the boys held firm and came away with a 2-1 win.
“They played really well and the win was fully merited.
"I was really pleased with how the trip went.
“On and off the pitch the players were excellent and were a credit to Brentford FC.
“Playing as well as we did, against one of the best academies in Italy further demonstrates the quality of players we now have in our ranks.
“Credit must be given to all the players and staff for making it a fantastic experience."
