Defender leaves Griffin Park

Defender Javier Rodrigues Venta has left Brentford Football Club and returned to Spain for personal reasons.
The 37-year-old – known as Javi Venta – joined The Bees on a one-year contract in the summer after he left Spanish giants Villarreal CF.
Javi played four games for Brentford, scoring in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over AFC Wimbledon.
His contract has been terminated by mutual consent and he has returned with his family to Spain.
Sporting Director Mark Warburton said: “Javi has requested to be allowed to return to Spain for purely personal reasons.”
“He has family issues which were difficult to resolve in London in the immediate future so we have allowed him to return to his homeland.
“Javi was very complimentary about Brentford in his time here and it was a pleasure dealing with someone who is clearly destined to have a future career in coaching or management.
“Javi will always be welcome back at Griffin Park and we wish him and his family all the best in the future.”
Manager Uwe Rösler added: “Javi is a fantastic professional and I have huge respect for him, as both his manager and as a man, that he has put his family first in this way.”
“Everyone can see why Javi has played at the level he has; he is an ultra-professional and I appreciate the time which he spent here.
“I wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
All at Brentford FC would like to wish Javi all the best for the future and thank him for his service.
