Arsenal midfielder joins Development Squad on loan

Arsenal midfield player Josh Rees has joined Brentford’s Development Squad on a one-month Youth Loan.
The Bees have signed the 19-year-old on a deal until April 1 and, while he will be available for the First Team, he will initially train and play for the Development Squad.
Josh came through the Academy at Arsenal and played for The Gunners’ Youth Team while still in the Under-16 squad.
He was a regular in the Arsenal Youth Team during his scholarship, scoring goals from midfield, and also featured in the Reserve Team.
The midfield player, who signed professional forms at Arsenal before his 18th birthday, scored one goal in 11 Premier Reserve League appearances last season to add to his six goals in 16 Premier Academy League games.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford Academy Director, said: “Josh has been with Arsenal since he was a young player.
“He has had a great footballing education at Arsenal’s Academy and I worked with him when he was a young player.
“We have a lot of games coming up in the Under-21 Professional Development League and Josh can feature in those.
“He will be a good addition to that group.”
