11 December 2013

Brentford goalkeeper Jack Bonham helps Arlesey Town to second win in four days during loan spell

Goalkeeper Jack Bonham helped Calor League Premier Division side Arlesey Town to their second win in four days last night.

Jack joined Arlesey on loan last month and kept his second clean sheet in six matches as Arlesey beat Bedford Town 3-0 on Saturday.

They followed that up with a 2-1 win over Banbury United last night, Tuesday December 10.

In Jack’s seventh game for the Bedfordshire side all three goals were scored in 20 second half minutes.

Arlesey got the first and third to take the win and climb to 12th in the table.

The only other Brentford player out on loan to get match time in the midweek fixtures was Josh Clarke.

The 19-year-old Development Squad winger joined Skrill South Maidenhead United last week.

He came off the bench in a Skrill South game against Sutton United on Saturday and came off the bench again in a league game against Chelmsford City last night.

Chelmsford took the lead early on but Maidenhead equalised early in the second half.

Josh came on with 15 minutes to go but there were no further goals.

Maidenhead are now 18th in a 22 team division where the bottom six teams are separated by a point.

There are six more Brentford players out on loan.

Development Squad central defenders Aaron Pierre and Alfie Mawson are at Cambridge United and Luton Town respectively while Development Squad midfield players Joe Maloney and Emmanuel Oyeleke are at Burnham and Aldershot Town respectively.

Development Squad striker Luke Norris and winger Stuart Dallas are both at Sky Bet League Two Northampton Town.

Burnham, Luton and Northampton did not have games during the midweek period.

Cambridge beat Macclesfield Town 3-0 in a Skrill Premier match to extend their lead at the top of the table but Aaron missed out through injury.

Aldershot were in Hampshire Senior Cup action against Farnborough.

Aldershot lost on penalties and Emmanuel did not play.
