Brentford kicked off their 2012/13 pre-season with a comprehensive win over neighbours Hampton and Richmond Borough.
The Bees rested the majority of their most experienced players but raced in to a 5-0 lead at half time.
The game was more even after the break but neither team could do enough in front of goal to add to the five first half strikes.
Brentford started slowly and could have been behind inside ten minutes when goalkeeper Antoine Gounet brought down Hampton striker Charlie Moone inside the penalty area.
But the French stopper redeemed himself by diving to his right to keep out the spot kick.
And for the remainder of the first half, Brentford were irresistible.
They went ahead when Alfie Mawson headed in a Jake Reeves corner and doubled the lead less than a minute later as Stuart Dallas fired home.
Trialist striker Rowendy Schoop made it three goals in three minutes when he drilled low past the hapless Hampton goalkeeper Craig Ross after Dallas intercepted a poor pass.
It took until just before the break for Brentford to get their fourth - Myles Weston heading home from close range - and the fifth came in stoppage time at the end of the first 45.
It was the pick of the bunch too - trialist Leon Redwood moved forward with the ball and let fly from 25 yards, the ball bent out of the reach of Ross and in to the top corner.
Brentford could have had more before the break - Weston hit the crossbar, Harry Forrester shot narrowly over and Pim Balkestein went close from long range.
Ross also denied Schoop on a couple of occasions.
The Bees made 11 changes at the break and inroduced some Youth Team players and even more trialists.
The game lacked the flow of the first period and Hampton came in to it, without troubling either Gounet or replacement stopper Matt Gledhill.
Vitorino Giarletta should have reduced the arrears when he picked up a loose ball and with only Gledhill to beat, tried to curl it in with the outside of his right foot - the end result was a miss-hit that ended further from the goal than it started.
Luke Norris went close for The Bees and Josh Clarke was a nuisance on the right but there were no goals after the break.
