Defender joins Ryman Premier League side until new year

Brentford’s Development Squad defender Sam Griffiths has joined Carshalton Athletic on loan.
The 20-year-old has joined the Ryman Premier League side until January 10.
Sam, who has captained the Development Squad this season, will be available for six games for the Surrey side.
He has played nine games for The Bees in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South this term.
Sam will link up with Josh Clarke, who is also with The Robins at the moment, and there are four more young Bees playing non-league football.
Luke Norris has joined Boreham Wood while Alfie Mawson is at Maidenhead United and Tyrell Miller-Rodney and Sam Beale are with Northwood.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Director of Youth, said: “Sam is another player who will benefit from playing games during the Christmas period when the Under-21 league is on hold.
“He has been a mainstay of the team this season and has lead by example as captain.
“Now he can go and play a good level on non-league football and see how he copes.
“We look forward to seeing how he develops while he is away.”
