Defender joins Bees from Millwall

Brentford Football Club are delighted to announce a deal has been agreed to sign defender Scott Barron from Millwall.

The 26-year-old was part of the Millwall team which won promotion from League One via the Play-Offs in 2010 and he has played more than 50 games in The Championship in the past two seasons.

The signing will be completed this afternoon subject to a medical and more details will follow later.

Scott, primarily a left back, started out at Ipswich Town and made his first appearance for the Suffolk side against Brentford in a 2004 League Cup tie.

He joined Millwall in 2007 and has made more than 130 appearances for The Lions.
