Justin and Nathan's side were in control from the off as they searched for a second win in two weeks. It didn't take long for the opening goal to arrive as Gel Burgess played through Read to slot home into the bottom corner. Luton did cause problems of their own and Emily Boycott had to be alert in the Brentford goal to maintain The Bees advantage.
Chloe Webb made it 2-0 just before the break with an unstoppable effort from inside the area but a moment of miscommunication in The Bees backline allowed Daisy Slowely to run through and make it 2-1 at the break.
The Bees half-time teamtalk clearly worked as the hosts flew out of the blocks after the break. Substitute Peters', who alongside Burgess was voted Player of the Match, proved too quick for the Luton backline as she cut inside and finished cooly. She was through again moments later, picking up a loose backpass before rounding the keeper and curling home to make it 4-1.
Read added a fifth, capitalising on a defensive error, before Eilidh Short and Clare Mackay added extra gloss to the scoreline, the latter's goal a thing of beauty as she broke from deep, exchanged passes with Charlotte Tanner, and then curled it into the top corner from a tight angle.
The win sees Brentford WFC Development move up to 4th in the table on 13 points ahead of a trip to league leaders Denham United next weekend. There was no game for the first-team this weekend with Craig Brown's side also not scheduled to be in action next weekend either as the SSE Women's FA Cup returns.
