A look ahead to the tournament, beginning this Friday
Brentford B arrived in Denmark on Monday, ahead of the Kai Thor Cup in Odense this weekend. The matches will be played on an artificial surface at OB's training ground, known as The Valley.
The Bees have been drawn in Group A alongside Esbjerg (Denmark) and Hamburg SV (Germany), while Odense Boldklub (Denmark), Lech Poznan (Poland) and Brann Bergen (Norway) are the teams making up Group B. Each game will consist of two 30 minute halves and teams will have to play both group stage matches on the same day.
Hosts Odense open the tournament against Lech Poznan at 12.45 English time on Friday 20 January, before Brentford then open their tournament with Esbjerg at 2pm. After that, Poznan take to the pitch again to play Brann Bergen before The Bees return to face Hamburg in a 4.30 kick-off.
Bergen get the penultimate fixture underway against Odense at 5.45, then Esbjerg and Hamburg SV battle it out in the final match of the day.
The final positions of each team in the group will decide the fixtures that carry through to the final day on Sunday 22 January. The top teams in each group will play eachother in a final, the two second place teams will face a third-place play-off and the third place sides will play in the curtain raiser at 10.30am.
As part of the rules of this inaugural competition, if any game on either day ends in a draw then penalties will decide the winner.
