Following an impressive trial run with the B team, Charlie officially signed with Brentford in September 2022.

He had been training with the young Bees and also featured as a trialist in three matches during the 2022/23 season, impressing enough to earn a contract.

Charlie spent his youth career at Aston Villa, rising through the ranks to feature for their Under-18 and Under-23 sides. He went on to play 35 times in the U18 Premier League, scoring three times and also clocked up 13 appearances in Premier League 2, getting on the scoresheet twice.

Charlie's first footballing memory was watching Aston Villa v Manchester United at Villa Park and being mesmerised by Cristiano Ronaldo. His proudest moment as a footballer was signing for Brentford surrounded by his family after a tough year of injuries.

His footballing idol is Ronaldo and if he had to compare himself to another footballer it would be Trent Alexander-Arnold.
