Ben Mee expressed his frustration after Brentford’s 3-0 loss to Arsenal.
The away side controlled the game at the Gtech Community Stadium, with goals from William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Fábio Vieira earning them a well-deserved victory.
“It was a difficult game,” said Ben. “We never really got going or got stuck into them.
“Fair play to them, they’re a good side – a well-drilled side. We didn’t create many chances.
“They’re not only good going forward; they’re good defensively as well.”
We resume our Premier League campaign with a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday 1 October.
Ben believes that the upcoming international break is a good opportunity to take stock.
“It’s the first time this season we’ve not been on par with where we usually are,” he continued.
“It happens sometimes. We’ve got a break now to look at it, then we go again.
“It’s still been a good start. We all think that we could be a little bit further along – there’s been a few points dropped – but the feeling in the group is good.
“It’s a good time to regroup, look at this game, and others, and see what we can do better and how we can improve.”
