Brentford defender Rico Henry said that it was ‘good to take a point’ away from home against Leeds United.

And while the left-back was ultimately satisfied with the 0-0 draw at Elland Road, he believes that there is still room for improvement.

"We've played in games like this before and we didn't take anything from them, so it's good to take a point," Henry said.

“I thought we created a little bit, not many clear-cut chances, but we created half chances that we could have done better with, but we’ll move on.”

He added: “Thomas [Frank] wanted us to play in behind a lot more, get runners in behind, especially with this formation - I think that's what we did today.

“Before the game, we spoke about their high press, their high intensity. They like to press, so we tried to play in behind them, we could have maybe done it a bit more.

“But we know it was going to be a dogfight, that's what we expected, so it was good to get a point.”

Brentford have kept three clean sheets in their last four Premier League matches.

The Bees are also unbeaten in the division since mid-October, with their next game coming against Southampton on 4 February due to FA Cup fixtures next weekend.

When asked why the defence has been so resolute in recent weeks, Henry responded: “I think it's our mindset.

"Set-pieces as well, we always focus on set-pieces. Claus [Norgaard] has come in and helped us with that.

"We want to defend first and create chances from there.”

He added: “We want to get back going, but I think the break will help us as well. There are a few niggles, Kris [Ajer], me with my calf, so we'll prepare and get ready for the next game."
