Keane Lewis-Potter said it was great to get 90 minutes in a friendly against Celta Vigo on Tuesday - and enjoyed playing in a slightly different role.
The 21-year-old featured as a wing-back in our 3-1 defeat to the LaLiga side.
Lewis-Potter said: "The weather wasn't great at all but it was nice to get 90 minutes in the legs for me and a few of the other lads. I think that was the main focus today."
When asked about his slight change of position, he added: "I'm used to playing on the wing, slightly more inside. I played there for Hull a few times last season, but as long as I'm on the pitch, I'm happy.
"There is a lot more running to do at wing-back! But, no, I enjoy it."
The game was played at an icy Jersey Road on Tuesday afternoon, which was a slight change to the conditions during the Bees' mid-season training camp in Spain.
And Lewis-Potter said it was good to get away to Girona, but he's glad to be back and feeling ready for our friendly against Wolfsburg on Saturday, before the return of the Premier League on Boxing Day.
He said: "It was a good camp for all of us, we got a game out there as well, 45 minutes each, getting back to 90 minutes today was great and it's good to be back now."
