Thomas Frank believes that Brentford earned a ‘good point’ against Brighton and Hove Albion, despite conceding a late equaliser at the Amex Community Stadium.
Alexis Mac Allister’s 90th-minute penalty – the sixth goal scored during a pulsating encounter - earned the Seagulls a share of the spoils.
“When leading three times in a game like this, you hope for more,” Frank began. “Conceding a late equaliser is always disappointing.
“I felt that we were very dangerous going forward. Coming here and scoring three goals is fantastic. That’s a big positive.
“They’ve conceded one goal in their last five home games, and we scored three. That shows that we’re such a threat and so difficult to play against.
“We put a lot of effort into the game, showed big determination and blocked a lot of things, but our normal defensive level is better than this. There were a few bits during the first two goals that we could have done better with. I always want to win, but it’s probably a good point.”
Pontus Jansson’s opening goal, and Ethan Pinnock’s poked finish just after half-time, both came from set-pieces.
And Frank praised his side’s ability from dead-ball situations following the 3-3 draw on the south coast.
“Big credit to the players for executing the plan very well, and big credit to everyone in the backroom staff who does a top job,” he said.
“We’re such a threat. Everyone knows when we come into a game that we can score from set-pieces and that’s a fantastic feeling to have.”
