Kevin Schade opened his Brentford account with a stunning solo goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday – and what he did afterwards was a familiar sight for Bees fans.
The forward upheld a promise to recreate Lloyd Owusu’s iconic ‘raise the roof’ celebration after his first Bees goal.
“When I came here, I played pool and I lost [to club presenter Stu Wakeford]. I had to do this celebration as one of the number nines before me celebrated like that. Hopefully I can score a few more now and keep going.”
“It was explosive,” Schade responded when asked to describe his first Bees goal during the 1-1 draw at Gtech Community Stadium.
“It was very nice. I got one-v-one and just shot. Finally – I’ve waited long enough!
“I need to be confident and try my best without thinking too much.
“Thomas [Frank] told me I should do this; get the ball, go, produce shots and crosses.”
