Match categories

Based on the expected level of demand for tickets, stadium capacities, security arrangements and club rivalries, we have categorised all of our Premier League matches into two bands, Category A (Cat A) and Category B (Cat B), with Cat A games marked as being of a higher profile.

As fans will see from the table below, home and away matches have been reviewed separately – for example, Leeds United at home is classed as Cat A, while Leeds United at Elland Road is Cat B. These categories may be subject to changes based on security advice or changes to dates and times ahead of each match.

Ticket Priorities

As mentioned in our Membership launch article, we have made some changes to our sales processes. There are a number of improvements to make the priority process as fair as possible and to streamline the process.

Removal of guaranteed windows

A significant change in our sales process for 2022/23 is our removal of “guaranteed” ticket windows. These windows had a relatively low conversion rate last season, and by removing these we can provide better flexibility to demand, better consistency and signposting to our fans and provide the ability for more fans with varied levels of TAPs to sit together.

These windows will be carefully managed, and whilst tickets won’t be guaranteed, we will use data from last year, taking into account the date and kick-off time of matches, to set these at the right level so that our most loyal fans have their chance to buy.

Below – please find each of the four types of Premier League matches (Home Cat A, Home Cat B, Away Cat A, Away Cat B) with reference to the Match Category table above. Cup matches will also be explained.

Home – Cat A

  • 50 per cent of available tickets will be sold to members who meet the TAPs criteria outline below.

  • The remaining 50 per cent will then go on sale to all My Bees Members who have at least 40+ TAPs.

  • Tickets will be subject to availability - we will not offer a guaranteed window to Members.

Tickets for Home Cat A matches will go on sale in the following order:

Ticketing Process - Home (Cat A)

Window 1A: 50% of available tickets on sale to My Bees Members with 1000 TAPs. Tickets subject to availability (not guaranteed). 100 tickets available at Box Office only

Window 1B: Any remaining tickets from initial allocation will be available to My Bees Members with 750+ TAPs

Window 2: Remaining 50% of available tickets on sale to all My Bees Members with 40+ TAPs. Tickets subject to availability. A further 100 tickets available at Box Office only.

Under 18s Ballot: 50 tickets available in pairs in an Under 18s Ballot. Fans will register their interest in advance to be eligible.

In the unlikely event that any tickets should remain after these windows, these will be available to 2022/23 Season Ticket Holders to purchase extra tickets.

Ticketing Process - Home (Cat B)

100% of available tickets on sale to all My Bees Members

Cup Matches
  • Tickets for Home cup matches will be categorised as either Category A, Category B or Category F (Family).

  • Season Ticket Holders and Premium Seat Holders will have first priority to purchase their own seat for cup matches.

  • Any remaining tickets for home cup matches will then be made available for purchase by Members following the same rules outlined above for the Category of match that it has been classified as.

  • Purchase windows and priorities for any Category F fixtures will be confirmed at the time.

  • Tickets for away cup matches will also be categorised as appropriate and sold on the same basis as for equivalent away Premier League games.
