Brentford Women’s B team will play their final game of the season this evening as they face league champions Leyton Orient Women in a top of the table clash at Bedfont Sports Club in a 7:45pm kick-off.
The Bees just missed out on promotion but have confirmed their place as runners-up in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One North going into tonight’s game.
Despite there not being a league title to play for head coach Tommy Ryan-Maynard still expects a strong finish to the season from his team.
He said: “We have had some great performances this season so I don’t want that to change now, we should go into tonight’s game against Leyton Orient wanting nothing but the three points.
“With it being our last game of the season, it will be great to see as many fans as possible down at Bedfont to support the team. They have worked their socks off and I couldn’t be prouder of them for their efforts this season, they deserve a lot of appreciation for this campaign so a good crowd would be great.
The women’s B team will be playing their second game in four days following their 1-0 win on Sunday against Luton Town Ladies Reserves.

The head coach went on to explain how he will be interested to see how his team reacts to playing a mid-week fixture as well as it being an opportunity to rotate his squad.
“We haven’t played many mid-week games at all so it will be good to see how we do in this situation but I’m confident the players have what it takes to get the three points.
“It will be nice to give different players some minutes and to try new things but the team know what I expect from them and that’s a professional performance.”
The last time the two sides met it was one of the games of the season with the Bees leading twice only for Leyton Orient to come back and win the game 3-2.
Ryan-Maynard explains how sweet it would feel if his team were able to revenge their previous defeat to the team they have pushed right to the end for the division’s title.
He explained: “We’ve had a good battle with Orient this season, we have been the two stand-out teams in the division but it’s just unfortunate that they have beat us to the title.
“They are unbeaten this season with us being their final game so it would be nice to get a win over them before they move up a division.”
