If you thought your football days were long over, then think again.
Radio Wey, in conjunction with The Middlesex County FA, have launched Walking Football in the South West London and North Surrey.
It is a chance for older footballers to get back into playing the game.
The rules are similar to ordinary football but no running and no hard tackling is allowed.
However, it does sharpen reflexes and accuracy, as the accent is on quality passing.
Plus it is a pleasant way to get exercise, especially for the over 50s.
Geoff Buckingham, Brentford supporter and contributor to Radio Wey, said: “It really is terrific fun, and an ideal way for older people to get back into the game.
“A number of Brentford supporters now attend, and the good news is that, with two large pitches available, we have room for more.
“Although aimed at those over 50 years of age, we are happy for younger players to also come along and, indeed, a few non-league players use it as a way of honing their passing and shooting skills.
“You will also get chance to mix with supporters, reporters, and commentators of some of the non-league clubs in the region.”
