We are pleased to announce the signing of Vincent Angelini who will join our B team. The goalkeeper has signed on an 18-month contract and will link up with Neil MacFarlane’s side ahead of their trip to Portugal for the Atlantic Cup. There is also a Club option of an additional year.

The 19-year-old joins the young Bees from the youth set up at Watford where he turned out for their Under-21 side. He has also featured on the first team bench for the Hornets during the 2021/22 season against the Bees, as well as West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Vincent turned out as a trialist for the B team as the side beat Erith & Belvedere 3-2 in the London Senior Cup earlier this month in a match where he made two impressive saves as he helped the young Bees to come from behind and progress to the next round of the competition.

Born in Scotland, Vincent began his early career within the youth system at Celtic where he rose through the ranks before joining Watford at the age of 17. Whilst at Vicarage Road, Vincent was able to get regular training minutes with the first team and joined them for pre-season whilst playing for the Under-21 side.

Discussing adding Vincent to his squad, Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Vincent played for us in our London Senior Cup tie, and we felt he did well on that particular occasion. He’s come in and impressed us in training and he has some good experiences behind him having been on the bench for Watford’s first team and we know he’s a good goalkeeper who will suit our style of play.

“He’s very good with his feet, we feel that we can improve him in other aspects, and we look forward to watching him grow alongside the rest of the players. Competition for places is exactly what we want, and we’ve seen that in the last couple of months with the level of performances within our B team really high at the moment. When we add to the group, we want players to push others and Vincent is certainly one of them.”
