The Bees are currently on a week-long Training Camp in France and were due to play a match at Stade de Mercy de Saint-Prex on Saturday, 15 July. When originally agreed, the match was to be played at State Olympique de la Pontaise but Lausanne-Sport suggested an alternative venue due to an athletics event that is taking place at the stadium. However, after inspection of the alternative venue at Saint-Prex, the playing surface was found to not be good enough.

It was felt by Head Coach Dean Smith and Head of Football Operations Robert Rowan that to play a match at Saint-Prex would put the players at risk of injury. Therefore, the match will now be played at the Training Camp venue - Complexe Sportif de Divonne-les-Bains sports facilities. The game will still kick-off at 4pm local time, 3pm BST, and any Brentford fans making the trip to Switzerland will be invited to watch.

Divonne-les-Bains is slightly closer to Geneva than Saint-Prex. The small town is just on the French side of the border, around 5km from the banks of Lake Geneva. It is around 15km from the centre of Geneva, 20 minute drive to the Airport and approximately 40 minutes in a coach from Saint-Prex.

The Club are currently investigating transportation options for fans that have made arrangements to get to Saint-Prex in order to assist them getting to Divonne-les-Bains. More information will follow in due course but support will be provided.

As well as the match, there will be a chance to fans to meet the Brentford players and staff afterwards. The squad will be available for autographs and photographs after the final whistle against Lausanne-Sport.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, we look forward to seeing you at the match.
